PAX ARMATA STRIKES

A formidable private military company is the antagonist of Battlefield 6's narrative.

Pax Armata rises as NATO cracks. Their motto? “Our protection, your peace.” But who’s pulling the strings and to what end?

The video above was shared on Battlefield social accounts one day before the reveal of BF6 and gives us insight of the opening blows to NATO. It appears the motivation here is to convince NATO members to leave and join a rising coalition.

The question that comes to mind is when was Pax Armata established? We can't determine the exact year at this time, however we can get a sense of how long this PMC has been around.

With Pax being the most renowned PMC, it could've been established anywhere in the 2010s, or earlier, with BF6 taking place sometime in the 2020s.

Furthermore, Pax's motto - "Our Protection, Your Peace" - reflects their namesake, which in Latin means "armed peace." One could interpret the motto as Pax's prime dogma: only they can provide peace for the world. However, it sounds a lot like peace reinforced at the end of a rifle. It is currently unknown what caused Pax's attempt of establishing a new global order.

GEORGIAN NATO BASE ATTACKED

Pax's three-pronged attack on NATO.

This appears to be the first strike by Pax, given it's highlighted at the start of the video. It is interesting how in the BF universe Georgia is in NATO, especially given where the country is geographically situated. However, membership could have been encouraged by possible Russian aggression.

The NATO base is located in Mukhrovani, a village and location in Kakheti, Georgia. If this was indeed the first strike, it makes sense in a strategical sense in that NATO forces would be mobilized, and pulled away from the next targets in Western Europe.

The news reports highlight there are discussions of how NATO could be a thing of the past. This could suggest that NATO has been unable to fulfill its goals. Perhaps member states have became disillusioned for whatever reason, and have turned to support from Pax.

The attack in Georgia resulted in an emergency conference at the NATO HQ in Brussels, Belgium.

NATO SECRETARY GENERAL KILLED

Social media post of Secretary General Hawthorne's assassination.

This seems to be part of Pax's plan to assassinate critical people of their adversary, to instill fear. They knew a conference would be called after such a strike; it's a rather routine thing. Using this to their advantage, they had personnel in Brussels to carry it out, dealing a devastating blow to NATO leadership. I should also mention that Pax did not immediately claim responsibility for these attacks. Although, it seems that people assume Pax was behind these strikes by default.

FRANCE LEAVES NATO

Civil unrest in France.

It appears that the attack on Georgia and Brussels could've pressured France to leave NATO because they knew they could be next. Or, like I've brought up before, there is some stigma around NATO, and this was the final straw for France.

Accompanying the news report on this, there were other headlines which are rather interesting. One of them is that the CIA has discovered intel of Pax and the coalition in Cairo, which is setting up events to occur in Egypt in BF6's campaign and multiplayer. This is the first mention of any coalition, which is assumed to be made up of other nations that have left NATO. What is the connection between Pax and the coalition? They're clearly working together, but one has to wonder who/which nation started this coalition?

The second headline is a chilling thought: Pax cells are on U.S. soil. They could be planning anything, and government agencies may have only a short period of time to stop Pax's schemes.

GIBRALTAR INVADED

Pax's attacks span the entirety of Gibraltar and even into Spain.

With NATO caught off guard, Pax initiates a critical invasion. Gibraltar offers a strategic region that NATO cannot afford to lose, but it seems that might just happen.

You might have noticed that Ukraine appears in the one of the headlines. In the video, the partial headline appears to read "Ukraine withdraws." We can take an educated guess and assume that Ukraine withdrew its NATO application.

What I see happening here with Pax's general strategy is to start stretching NATO thin across the globe, including using their cells in the US to force a response from the Americans. Of course, this is hard to confirm since we don't know which countries are still in NATO and which have sided with the coalition.

There's certainly a lot to speculate and think about. Have any thoughts? Be sure to drop them in the discussion section and thank you for reading!
